Here’s Your Six Power Activators
You have many, many Power Activators in Scripture.
In this faith building, Mini e-Book, we show you six of them.
Remember!
The Anointing comes on an act of faith.
This act of faith makes it real.
The Anointing moves the unseen and unreal to its opposite
The unseen and unreal become both the seen and the real.
All the above occurs simply because the anointing to make the unseen real comes in force when you act upon God’s word!
Isaiah 40:29-30 gives Your First Power Activator
Isa 40:29-31
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (KJV)
Our natural strength will sometimes fail. No matter our lot in life, our natural strength has its limits. Verse 30 above says both the youths and the young will faint, be weary and utterly fall.
Especially notice, however, verse 29 above. It says that it is to this very group, the faint, weary and fallen that God gives power and increased strength. It says that when we are faint and have no might, He increaseth strength.
The question then is this; how do we get this increased strength and power? The answer is in verse 31 above. We who need power and increased strength must wait upon the Lord. Then these following things happen for our good.
Notice this! Waiting is a Power Activator!
The following four things happen when we wait upon the Lord.
We shall renew our strength
We shall mount up with wings as Eagles
We shall run without getting weary
We shall walk and not faint
Notice also that this increase of power comes to us
today through the presence of Jesus our Lord. He said
as much in Matthew’s Gospel.
Matt 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (KJV)
In verse 18 Jesus said that all power in both heaven and earth is given to him. In other words, there is no power he does not possess now and control now. All power is now his and under his control.
Also notice the vehicle through which this delegated power actualizes for us: His Name! But more on His Name in a moment!
Next, in verses 19 and 20a, Jesus gives us some instructions concerning His will for us while He is back in heaven. We are to engage in three things for Him:
· We are to go into all the world
· We are to teach all nations
· We are to baptize them
· We are to teach them all things He has commanded us
Then in verse 20b, he gives us a startling promise. He says that He is with us always, even to the end of the world. This is amazing.
Here we see that Jesus now has all power. Then we see that all this power is available to us as we carry out The Great Commission. But we see something else here that is absolutely mind-boggling. This power Jesus possessed was not to be ours apart from Him. He promised to be with us always!
Now if Jesus is with us always, His power is also with us always. Can you separate the sugar from your coffee once it is mixed? Of course not! Can you separate the salt from your dinner after it has been applied? Of course not!
Neither can you separate Jesus and His Power!
Neither can you separate Jesus and His power. He promised to be with us always, even unto the end of the world. Now since Jesus and his power are inseparable, we have his power when we have him.
One goes with the other. They are inseparable.
Now see The Great Commission as Mark wrote it. And again, see the vehicle through which we must activate this delegated power: His Name!
Build your faith in using Jesus' Name! See chapter eight in our book, Healing for the Rest of Us. You will see truths about using Jesus' Name you've never seen before.
Mark 16:15-20
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (KJV)
In verse 15 above, Mark said practically the same thing that Matthew said in his statement that they were to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Then in verse 17, power is introduced by one word, signs. You see, power is required to perform the signs that Mark lists in verse 17 through verse 20.
Supernatural power must be employed by all them that believe or else not one sign would follow any believer.
Supernatural power is certainly part of the all power Jesus said is now in his possession and under his control and it was necessary for the following things to be done in Jesus name:
· They shall cast out devils.
· They shall speak with new tongues.
· They shall take up serpents.
· Deadly drinks shall not hurt them.
· They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
· The Lord worked with them in their preaching.
· He confirmed what they preached with supernatural signs.
Matthew and Mark are not alone in recording these things. Luke has much to say about the Lord’s delegated power and authority.
Luke 9:1-2
1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. (KJV)
Luke 9:6
6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where. (KJV)
The power to get things done was given to the twelve here. What things? Those things contained in the Gospel of Christ; here it was preaching and healing, both of which required supernatural power. Jesus gave (delegated) this power to them.
And just here, we should see that the vehicle that activated this delegated power was the preaching the Gospel and the Kingdom of God.
Next, He delegated this same power to the Seventy also. And in a moment we shall see even more that His power is still delegated to us today by His presence.
Luke 10:1
1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
(KJV)
Luke 10:17-20
17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. (KJV)
Notice closely the specific areas the Seventy had power over. They had power over serpents and scorpions. Notice also the vehicle through which they could exercise this power. They were to tread on them. In other words, they were given power to walk all over the serpents and scorpions. But this was not all.
This delegated power extended to and covered all the power of the enemy! This means that no power of the enemy was left concerning which they could not walk all over. No enemy power at all! None!
Again, notice the vehicle through which this delegated power could be activated!
They walked all over serpents, scorpions and all the power of the enemy.
To this point let us make note of the Power Activators:
· Waiting
· Presence of Jesus
· His Name
· Preaching the gospel and the Kingdom of God
· Walking all over the Enemy
But there are many more Power Activators. Jesus taught us in Mark 11 that words are Power Activators. He taught us what to say and how to say it. In a nutshell, He taught us to say with our mouth the same thing God said with His mouth in the Scriptures. In other words, we must say the same thing God says.

Now the book of Proverbs elaborates even more on spoken words as Power Activators.
Prov 18:20-21
20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (KJV)
Notice in verse 20 above the expressions (1) fruit of his mouth and (2) increase of his lips. Both pertain to filling of a man’s belly. In other words, there is power enough in what we speak to provide for our material needs, specifically food.
But there is power in the tongue, our instrument given us by God, to form words, that goes way beyond just the power to fill our need for food. The instrument that makes words contains the power of death and life. Think of this a moment. Death and life are in the power or our tongue!
We can kill with our tongue. The power of death is in it. We can also make alive with our tongue. Death and life are in the power of our tongue. How fearful we should be of speaking loosely or carelessly. Bad speaking could possibly result in the death of someone. Be careful what you say. Life and death may be riding on your words.
Prov 4:24
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. (KJV)
The above verse is what we are not to do concerning words. We are not to speak from a forward (crooked) mouth or from perverse (not God-like) lips. These two speeches are not Power Activators. They will quench the power!
Prov 4:20-22
20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. (KJV)
· Instead, we are to attend to His words.
· Incline our ears to His sayings.
· Let them not depart from our eyes.
· Keep them in the midst of our hearts.
· They are both life and health to all that find them.

· Waiting
· Presence of Jesus
· Name of Jesus
· Preaching
· Walking all over the power of the Enemy
· Spoken Words
Select one or more that speaks to your spirit-man. Then go for it! It only takes one! You may, however, select more than one. Let God lead you. The Power Activator(s) that click inside your spirit are the right one(s) for you.
Remember this! These Power Activators work for you today just as well as they worked in the Bible days. There was no monopoly on them then for just those who lived then. They are for you also. Why? Because, in the Bible days, all these Power Activators were given to the Abrahamic Seed Group.
And guess what? You are grafted into that same group today by the New Birth. They are now your Power Activators just as much as they were for those who lived in Bible times.
So go for it. Get one that sets right in your spirit and exercise it. The Power and the Activator are both yours now.
