Do What David Did

First here is his list of troubles in the above Psalm.

1. His beloved son, Absalom, was after him to kill him.

2. Many more have increased that trouble him.

3. Many are they that rise up against him.

4. Many say of his soul, "There is no help for him in God."

Next, David Names three things about his God.

1. His Lord was and is a shield for him.

2. His Lord was his glory.

3. His Lord was the lifter up of his head.

Here's what David did in response to this  mountain of trouble.

1. He cried unto the Lord with his voice.

2. He laid down and slept.

3. Then he awoke.

4. He determined not to be afraid of the ten thousands of people that have set themselves against him round about.

5. He reminded God about what He had done for him in the past. He said, "Thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly."

6. David reminded God that Salvation belongeth unto the Lord,

7. He reminded that thy blessing is upon His people.

8. David then asked Him point blank, "Arise O Lord, save me!"

Here is God's response to David in this time of trouble.

1. God heard him out of His Holy Hill.

2. The Lord sustained him.

3. God brought David through this time of deep and difficult trouble.

4. David knew that he was a member of the Abrahamic Seed Group and was covered by the blessing in the Abrahamic covenant. This blessing had four sides to it. The Abrahamic covenant contained healing, prosperity, family well being and salvation.

Now Here's What You Do!

1. Make your own list of troubles like David above.

2. Make your own list of things about God like David did above.

3. Make your own list in response to your mountain of trouble like David did above.

4. As God begins his process of dealing with your troubles, make your own list of what He does.

5. Write down anything else you can think of that will help you help God cover all your bases.

6. Finally, ask Him this; "Arise O Lord; save me!"
